Amazing

Switching from Things and really Love it

Firetask review (after 3 days)

- App not bad, like the "today screen"...good at-a-glace feature - dev team needs to invest time/effort into making "landscape entry" an option - app crashes from time to time, usually when trying to edit an existing task - for the issues, $4.99 is a little steep - especially if your plan is to use it for work

Sweet!!

Its about time somebody did it right

Initial Feedback

The Good Intuitive interface. Ability to sort tasks by project. Would Like To Have Would be nice to have an alert feature to remind you when tasks are due and to set how far ahead to send reminders. Would also be nice to have a list view of tasks due today, tasks due the next day, tasks due next week. Price If the would-like-to-have features were included, Id pay $9.99.

Background sync???

This app really needs to sync quietly in the background like other apps of its kind. The sync screen is annoying and wastes my valuable time.

Really like interface

I really like this interface and the syncing is working well. The day someone comes up with a way to do this with an organizer/calendar that I can sync across devices will be perfect.

Nice Task App!

Well-structured and beautiful app! But I wish the app to be equipped with the following points: - Any sync. feature. - "Start date", in addition to "Due date". - Much more enjoyable category icons. - I prefer "Waiting For" tasks are also listed in the "Today" view. - I prefer all tasks can be listed in the "Category" view like "All" mode of the "Today" view.

Best 2DO App, if...

Its a cool 2DO app that you can sync with the Mac version, BUT to reach 5 stars for me this app is still missing: 1) the possibilty to sort the lists by priority (also on the Mac version)! Otherwise it is useless to assign the priority! 2) more space to edit a task, not just 1 line, because it takes time if the task to edit is long 3) "Assigned to" field: possibility to add from address book Thanks for working on it!

What a waste of $5

Nice looking UI. But its buggy. Some fields wont let you edit them. Items mysteriously move and hard to find them. I should have guessed that with no releases for an 18 month period something was wrong.

Doesnt work with 3GS

Desperately needs an update. Doesnt work with my new 3GS and probably with other 3.0 software platforms. The "add" and "cancel" buttons are not shown when you click to add a new task, project, or category, leaving you with no way to save anything and no way to even back out of the screen. Only option is the "home" button, which obviously kills the program! I want my money back!!!

Potential but look elsewhere

Nice looking app but over-priced and undersupported. Feels like a "one man wrote it" app. As others state, its not working in 3.0. NO EXCUSE for this. The SDK has been available for 6 months. Sporadic, few new features updates. Has potential, but no sync to an external source like RTM. When you charge .99 for an app, I can understand these shortcomings. When you charge 4.99 like this app, the missing prices, slow updates an OS incompatibilities are UNFORGIVABLE.

Yes, the best Todos - confirm!

Nice design, fast....recommend

After extensive searching...

...I finally found a competetor to Things. I liked that app a lot, but was a little dissatisfied with its disorganization when multiple tags were used. It is also frustrating that its almost abandonware. But I found this, saw its similarities, and saw its triumph over Things, offering extensive organization in categories and projects, as well as using "next", "someday", and the great "today" feature, which I needed. Its UI is beautiful as well. I had a question for the developer, and got a quick response. Im done with my search for the perfect task app. Thank you!

Really good....but..

WHY?...with 3.0 and copy paste are hyperlinks not supported in notes?? So much more powerful with that data good to go in the toDo Ah, well, back to TaskPro

Excellent App

DONT listen to the negative reviews. This app is extremely well thought out and deep. This is definitely a project oriented task app. If you want a true GTD app or just a simple to-do app, look elsewhere. Ive tried lots (over 10) of other to-do type apps and this (along with Dunnit!) is the best Ive used. From the UI to the functionality, it rocks! First, all the issues others have expressed are either fixed in the latest version or are just opinions. Second, this app is fairly complex. I LOVE that, but others might find it a bit confusing. Its got lots of great ways to categorize and assign tasks to projects that are presented in a great UI. Like others, I have my subjective opinions when it comes to design and how certain funtions are implemented but Ill convey those to the developer in an email. The only reason its not recieving 5 stars from me is that it lacks two components: a web/desktop interface for desktop use (which I believe is in development) and some type of alert system (push notifications).

Interaction Designer

Excellent app! Id used 2Do, but I got tired of the limitations and cluttered interface. Firetask may be difficult to get a handle on at first but once you get a momentum goin its worth it. The interface is clean and simple and stays out of your way and lets you focus on getting things done. I use it to stay on top of everything from school projects to work assignments and day-to-day errands. I highly recommend this app to anyone who needs a straightforward and feature-rich GTD app.

Excellent App!

Simple, intuitive design, flawless operation, an incredibly useful tool - the best I have used. The negative reviews are puzzling, as my experience contradicts their complaints.

Finally a great task manager app

After researching for a long time and trying quite a few I finally found this one. It does everything I need it to do and has the best UI. You can customize categories if you need more than the out of the box ones and entering new projects and tasks are a breeze. My life just got a lot more organized. Best $5 I have spent in a long time.

Works Great

Love the new update.

Feature request

I have just started using this app and I really like it. It has all the ways of organizing my to do list that I need. By topic (project) - for planning/making sure everything is on the list; by type (phone calls, errands, to dos) - for efficiency; and by both Due date and priority - for sorting the most important items to the top of the list. However, I have yet to find a task management system that adequately handles lengthy (multiple-days) tasks. I would like to see an additional field for either 1) duration - with the sort order being based on the calculated "start date" or 2) "do date(s)" - which would be the days you plan to work on it. I am currently handling these tasks by entering them twice (or three times) and putting the do date in the due date field and entering the actual due date in the notes field.
